First of all, this blog is not being written as a reaction. I have asked Tim several times over the last 8 months to respond to concerns and questions, and to provide the services he promised and were paid for. He has refused to respond to date. Approximately 2 yrs ago, I did recommend his services and skills to any agent interested in improving thier business. However, he has not remained consistant and I can no longer have my recommendation associated with him.
Tim Lindon, of Tim Lindon Associates is a very smart and creative individual. He has lots to offer. Unfortunately, I and many other Insurance Agents have experienced, what I define as, a lack of integrity, honesty, character, and quality business principals. I spent a significant amount of money for coaching and consulting and did not get what was promised to my staff team and myself. He failed to return phone calls timely, and ignores e-mails. He has owed money (return/reimbursement for services he cancelled and did not deliver on) to his clients for long periods of time and refused to respond to requests for return. His organization, at last contact, was comprised of just himself and maybe a part time administrative asst. He had a great gig going for a while and then it fell apart, lost all of his staff, and did not pay them what he owed them for wages and expenses for a long time either.
It has been rumored that one insurance company no longer allows Tim to speak at company sponsored or sanctioned meetings, conferences, or trainings. Although that can't be confirmed, it has been some time since he attended or represented himself at any meeting that we are aware of.
I have talked with several agents who share similar experiences and feelings, and have also seperated/non-renewed their services. My advice to anyone considering a business relationship with Tim Lindon Associates:
* Do not pay him a full annual fee. Pay it monthly.
* Get everything in writing. Do not accept verbal promises.
* Communicate with a lot of other agents that you trust that use him and
inquire of those who no longer work or associate with him.
* Make an educated and informed choice before you commit money and
become frustrated.
